250free.com is another free hosting provider, but it offers very interesting package. While most of providers offer 1:10 space and bandwidth ratio (eg. 100 MB space and 1000 MB bandwidth), 250free.com offers service with 250 MB space and 250 MB bandwidth only, so if you have big site, you will run out of bandwidth quickly.
Registration was a little bit painful. We were asked for many personal details (from gender to phone number), and after registration we were forced to see some ads before activating new account.
While 250free.com claims they offer PHP and MySQL support, it's not true. We have uploaded some PHP files for testing purposes and none of them was executed. Naturally, some advertising offers were displayed on our website (hosting is sponsored by displaying various ads on user website). So if you are looking for real PHP support, probably you will decide to search for another provider.

| Considering that I'm an optimist EXCEPT with data that's on MY computer, or on a site that I use to back up/store data, or an external drive, or burning to CD... Do you detect a Type A personality? :) Hint: you need more than one source for backup. You'll feel more secure. It sounds like a lot of work, but I sleep peacefully. It is your job to be sure that your data is safe. Securing it is your job. Then you can can be the omnipotent friend who teaches safety. :) |

| Wish i had known about this i would have done a backup as it is i have lost all my pics,midis,gifs and a whole host of other things :( really gutted it took me a long time to get all what i had on there......is there any way to get it back?? |

| The site was up for a brief while..I saved some files but they do not allow back-transfer of files via FTP. In other words, they won't let you transfer your files from the directory back to your original folder in your computer using FTP. But, I was able to save my son's memorial page and re post it on another site. |

| RE :Mike, 05th of February, 2011 A preliminary deal has been reached for the transfer of 250Free.com and 250Host.com to an experienced business. it is now 27th june 2011 are the new business partners cloning the old owner ? or do my eyes play interweb tricks lol. your informant or internet gossip news seems un trustworthy. the site was up and running again for a short while and again BOOM ! BANG ! WHALLOP ! ( like the cartoon edits of batman and robbin) GONE AGAIN ! no notice no emails no notifacations NOTHING ! some one out there willing to see me the script for the site ? or produce a site like the 250free.com ? i would defo be interested in the script and have a up and running site for the good people out there.. bye 4 now people |

| 23rd may 2011 ok what is going on now with the 250free.com site ? does anyone know...... i have noticed no email sent "AGAIN" stating the site would be down "YET AGAIN" if the site is under new management they seem to have same respect for their customers. the site as been down a few days now and no one is able to email the admin to find out what is going on.... come on 250free.com owners please get a grip and please try and communicate with your paying customers as we do not like being left in the dark...YET AGAIN... sorry but i have placed a negative for the site due to lack of respect to their customers again. |

| 1st off BillG don't you dare threaten me with a lawsuit because your dumb A** doesn't know where I live let alone have my full name so thats one point for making an a** out of yourself.2nd if anyone had a damn brain and CANCEL ALL PAYMENTS by oh I don't know maybe contacting your credit card company and let them know that 250free/host were down for a while.AND heres another clueless tip if he doesn't have access to his account until the bill is paid then HOW THE HELL HE'S GOING TO CANCEL ALL AUTOS? ok bashing him isn't going to turn these servers on because no other web host owners will want to deal with all this drama and who can we blame is you cry babies ENOUGH ALREADY! ya'll act big on typing wheres your so called lawsuits? like you guys will travel down to where he lives for over 47.38 or 3-6 something to sue him for RIGHT!!! |

| BillG, I hear what you are saying. I went to the mank and had them to change my card. Then I went to Ipage and stated all over. It would have helped if he had of been upfront with us and gave us time to move our work else where. And if he would let me in for two or three days I could get the photos of prisoners that I am having a hard time getting back. Also I went to enom.com, there are the ones with the domain name if you bought it through 250free. I pay them now to keep my domain name. 259free was just a subseler for them. | Cry babies? Because we have paid for services never received? Cry babies because Mr. Brian keeps charging us after he went belly up? New company my ass!! My CC statement shows that payment was deducted from my account to 250free.com! And who are you Sasha, his attorney? Maybe I should see you in a court of law as well! |
