You Sasha, 16th of February, 2011 are a real fuckwit, Brian has caused me no end of bother by the way in which he has / not dealt with this. I had a reseller account with 250host.com that just disappeared overnight. He has not answered any emails or bothered to contact from his office phones. I have been a customer for around 9 years. I think he is a bad businessman ...

ENOUGH ALREADY!!!
The sites were sold to another owner if brian is such a crook by autorenewals etc then duh call your credit card company and ask for a refund sheesh is it that so damn hard to do..All I see is a bunch of babies crying over their sites mostly free read his terms not his problem you didn't backup your sites.

250free.com had the nerve to charge me for service I never received. That is a crime!! There must be a way to get our money back or at least see the responsible person behind bars!! I agree with Mr. Frank Ferrell that the owner should have notify his customers, but instead of a courteous gentleman, it looks like he is a criminal instead!

sorry for this up date but reading your posts if i have an automated payment TAKEN from my account then i will make a online petition for GENUINE PEOPLE to fill out their details and the website name details etc. as taking money would be a crime and the trading standards would have a field day for obtaining money by deception and fraud. i hope it does not come to this but i will be the first in the firing line if they as much as take a penny from my account.if you have already had money taken from your account then REPORT to this link right away here are a few sites for example but remember the trading standards too
http://www.consumerfraudreporting.org/reporting.php as it would fall under a cybercrime here is a few links

the bloke that owns the site DID have financial problems. I for one was NOT happy losing my money as i was a paying customer and i too lost a lot of work stored there. BUT after a few words in another forum i did sit back and think of his situation and it seems this person tried to run the site on his own and for what ever reason was unable to pay for the service any longer...maybe the money he was recieving was not enough to pay for the service i dont know.but we ALL get into financial difficulties for one reason or another....life goes on though... simular to investing your money into a business and that goes bankrupt or into liquidisation but you lose a hell of a lot more money....my loss was about 38 pounds english money and a lot of people from my site due to it being down more than it was up and running but heyyyy life goes on and there are other servers out there..i think that 250free.com is going to lose a hell of a lot of custom due to the lack of trust

The latest:

Current Status
A preliminary deal has been reached for the transfer of 250Free.com and 250Host.com to an experienced business.

More details will be following soon, and yes, I expect service to be restored shortly.

Turns out I -WAS- charged $47.38 after all. I have two cards, a check card and a credit card. The charge went to the credit card, and it would have been overdrawn had I not happened to have put some cash in just days before.

Guess I've officially joined the Screwed Customer List.

Type "250free.com" in your browser and read what it says.
It's his way of telling us he ran out of money..
Ya Right....
Frank Ferrell, 27th of January, 2011
I had previously posted that on January 23 2011 I had received an e-mail from 250Free that my account had been auto-renewed at a cost of $47.38. Yet so far, there is no such charge showing up on my bank account.

I do not recall updating my credit card information at 250-free. If I didn't, then I may be lucky -NOT- to lose money. I also realize the possibility that only the e-mail went out, but no attempt to charge was made, regardless of what card might be file.

If you get an e-mail that your 250-free account has been auto-renewed, check your bank statements daily to see if the transaction actually occurred. Also, do as I did and save the e-mail notice in a special folder. I made a point not only to save the notice, but also to print it to a PDF file.

I was told to go here: http://rrc.tucows.com/ for the 250 free and I did. It's a place to put in a complaint. It would help if everyone did and show them how we feel.
