Weebly Featured Review

weebly.com is web 2.0 like online site builder with some advanced features. Registration is fast and easy as never. Just visit their website and you will see big registration form on main page that contains 3 fields only - username, password and email. No more fields, no email confirmation or validation. Just fill out these fields and account will be activated immediately.

Right after registration you can start building new website. Newbies should like builder interface - you can drag and drop all the elements via browser and see the changes immediately. Easy, easy and easy!

While advanced users will go with another company that provides more features like script language support, databases, etc, new users probably will decide to choose weebly.com - their service is really cool and should be in case of interest for people who want to build simple website and have no HTML programming experience.

And this is a copy of their activation email:

I love Weebly! I am an artist who was using Wordpress, but I found their system to be very confusing and difficult to use. I found I was emailing my web designer all the time with questions and help in changing the content. Now I do it all myself without the need of a designer! That means I am adding content far more often and shifting the design around. This, of course, also means lots more hits and better ranking by google. I don't write a lot of reviews, but I am happy to recommend weebly to any and all. You can check out my website to see what I have done with my limited computer knowledge: http://www.bruceblackart.com

Well, at first I thought it was great. But then trouble started.
As soon as I tried to work with images the system would freeze up and changes would have to be lost in order to close the web browser at all.
Weebly does not seem to be compatible with windows 8 which is fair enough cus windows 8 is awful but they wont come out and tell me if that is what the problem is.
Also atm I am locked out. If I try getting in with my mac my site wont load past 90% and if I try getting on with my windows 8 laptop, every time I click into a paragraph box to write anything I get thrown out of weebly to a white screen of death or just frustration anyway!
And I don't even want to go into how hard it is to set up google ads! You'd think as they get 50% of profits from google ads they would make more of an effort to help!

I was intending to stick with weebly but now seriously thinking of taking our business elsewhere. Perhaps wordpress?

Weebly sold me a domain name for $79.90 with only a free version usage of their web builder. Customer Support is by far the worst I have ever experienced from any company. Because of this alone, I would never recommend Weebly to any business trying to get their company online presence. After my purchase with Weebly, I had so may questions because the server was freezing up, my account reflected no status, and then come to find out that my domain name was still available for purchase on the National Registrars List. I was furious to find that they charged my credit card again without any authorization. All of my data and hard work I built with the Weebly builder was lost again after another server lock out. What we have are a bunch of kids working there who have so much growing up to do. One response from customer support failed to answer 6 of my questions but rather gave tons of excuses as to why they were so slow, and on top of that in his email to me he totally bashes other top level domain hosting companies behind their backs. They lied about their initial offer they made to me but rather did nothing to help my business. All they have done was tried to up-sell to me and though I showed no interest in their promo lies, they insisted on charging my card anyways. Who the hell do Weebly Staff think they are pulling bullshit moves like this? Four days later, my card has still not been credited, and I have still not heard a word from Weebly. This has BS written all over it. Very unethical, extremely unprofessional.

Weebly provide one of the worst customer and support services by miles. Their website builder is probably one of the best but only when it works. Unfortunately, not all technological tools work swimmingly well all the time and when something goes wrong, the support (read lack of) that Weebly claims to provide is simply not there.

I'm a Pro account holder and have been with Weebly for about 9 months. While everything was working well, I was quite happy and proceeded to build about five websites. However, last Monday, when I tried to access my account, I couldn't. Although I was sure I hadn't forgotten my login details, I requested a password reset. And with that, my nightmare began.

1. Having asked for a password reset, a message popped up telling me that instructions on how to reset my password had been sent to email. However, that was not the case. I thought that might have been a glitch and tried again but the same problem.
2. I then raised a ticket with Weebly using their support form. And although they said they would send me an acknowledgement email, I didn’t receive one. I waited for one business working day and a half but no word from the good people at Weebly - (have been checking my spam folder as well.)
3. On Wednesday, I decided to send them a direct email and now here I am, still waiting with no word from them.

In the meantime, I cannot update any of my websites. And now, all I want is out and I don’t even mind if they kept my money. I’m very desperate to update my sites but all I can do is sit here frustrated, angry and helpless.

I have been using Weebly for two years. My renewal date for my domain is April 4, 2013, however since mid February I have been getting messages, from weebly, about losing my domain name for not paying. Today there is a message saying my domain has been suspended because I have not paid. Today is March 9, 2013. Is this legal?

I have been using the internet from day one. I never imagined there ever would be a site of any kind that would provide the service Weeby is giving. When building our website I struggled trying to jump through all the hoops. I was reluctant to call for help as I figured I would be on the phone waiting for hours. I don't know if they could tell I was having problems but I got a call from Dave wanting to know how it was going. He had me set up in less than 10 minutes. I have had problems in the las week so I call, usually get an answering machine but within the hour he will contact me and in 5 minutes I'm up and running. Why can't other companies provide service like this. And Dave doesn't have a Pakistani accent.

Wow!! My experience with Weebly has been quite well. I have the Pro account and set up was a breeze. It offers great themes and allows you to upload your own. I've only been with them for 11 months and haven't had any major problems. I did however loose some content a few times while editing that annoyed me a little but overall, I've been fairly satisfied. I've only had to contact them once and was able to get a live person! For a virtually small investment, Weebly has definitely been a plus!

I have a school gmail account, and I keep getting spam mail from the website when I DID NOT want any mail from them. It's annoying because I get spam mail every day. My friends also say the same thing, and they told our teacher because it's SO annoying. If this isn't changed I'm going to delete my account. :(

WEEBLY.COM has no CUSTOMER SERVICE. You can't speak to anyone. You have to wait until they respond to your email... Hope they respond to your email. Bad business and we'll make sure everyone knows about this. If you have a great product or business, we'll support, but don't be shady to your customers. Terrible!
