I just read a very long article about these DDoS attacks. Sounds rather sophisticated.

Now, my suggestion to the guys at Weebly is this: Quit spending so much of your time coming up with new features for your web-builder, and spend ALL of your time coming up with ways to block these DDoS attacks. You guys at Weebly are obviously very intelligent, and you simply MUST stay one step ahead of these cyber attackers!!

Put every employee you have into it. The web-builder has enough features right now and frankly, every time you roll out a new feature there seems to be a new bug somewhere, or the site goes really slowly.

I realize it's not your fault you got attacked, but it's happened twice (that I'm aware of) in the past three days and that is NOT acceptable to those of us who have paid for accounts and domains and are trying to run a business from our website. It's time to step up the defenses. I've been working really hard on my website, and it's almost ready to launch to the public, but I'm afraid to do it for obvious reasons.

SO please, Weebly, SLOW down and fix all the existing problems. You've got a great site, but this attack did some damage.

An update: my site has been restored! Dan at Weebly advised me to send my domain to support@weebly.com which I did and they have been back in touch with me to explain they have been experiencing extremely heavy load and have re-uploaded my site.
To conclude, I am very happy with this customer service and I really do hope this problem is now solved.
I still don't know if it is safe to send out my press releases though, which of course have my website address on!

I still can't get on and Monday is usually my busiest day in terms of web traffic.

My site is up again, but sheesh. I can't count on Weebly now. I was actually thinking of selling items from my site, but NO WAY will I attempt that now. Weebly's reputation is quickly becoming as spotty as their service.

I notice that they don't even RATE on that list of the 10 best web hosts up there on the top of this page...

I wonder if i can get a refund lol!

Helen, this notice was posted on the Weebly Blog:

Service Status

We are currently experiencing abnormally high traffic volume and are working to restore all services as quickly as possible.

------ I think Weebly is getting a little too big for their britches. They have gotten so "successful" that now they can't keep up with all the traffic they're getting.

They definitely have some serious problems. I wonder what Time Magazine would say about them NOW??? Definitely NOT one of the best websites these days, huh?

Mine is down again too. This is getting OLD. Sounds like Weebly is having more issues than they are letting on. If they can't protect their servers from attacks, then what good are they?? This is the second time in as many days that they've gone down.
