Thanks. I realise that, but I was thinking if I couldn't get the forwarding to work using just an A record, I could use the nameservers and then use MX records in 000webhost to point to google apps.

So if I park the domain and use nameservers can i set up MX records, or would I have to recreate the site from scratch using the domain name?

Hopefully I'll get the A record forwarding working and I won't need to worry about this.
