Why don't you use File Manager? in >>Files section of your control panel.
To use File Manager you need to login by entering your ftp password.
You can directly select files to be deleted, check on the checkbox and
click Delete button at the right top menu. In the next page, click green
check icon, and then click back-arrow icon after you get the message that
the file is deleted.
