I'm not completely positive, but from what I recall .JAR support was deprecated in IE6,MOZ6/NN4.

Is there a definitive reason you require an entire java library? If not, perhaps you can determine the actual library components you require, isolate them as a standardized .js script and use them in a normalized JavaScript format.
