Question Is this allowed? - 06-28-2009, 03:41 PM

Hi Everyone!

I already have a website hosted by 000webhost, and I think Your service is really great, so I would like to register an other site here, to create a Dawn of War 1-2 and Company of Heroes game fansite. My problem is, that these real-time strategy games are rated by pegi as 16+ or 18+ because they use bad language in some cases or contain violence. I don't know, whether the fansite is rated as adult content, which is not allowed in free hosting, or not. If You say, that the fansite is allowed, and this is not a problem, because the bad language and the violence of the game won't placed on the site, I would create an age-gate to avoid any harm of children and place the pegi and ESRB ratings on the bottom of the site.
The fansite would contain a phpBB3 forum part and a Joomla! website part.

Please send Your judgement, and I will follow Your instructions.

Thank You for Your help!

Esta

when they say "adult content" they are referring to porn, etc...
i don't think what you are asking would be a problem, but a good rule of thumb is if the game's website has an age gate, then so should your fansite.

Thank You very much! My first idea was the same as Yours, so I think we have right and the adult content is not this type of material... The official game websites are designed with age gate, so I think my site should have one of course. I am startng the work.

Thank You again!
