I'm thinking about upgrading to paid hosting. However, I talked to the customer support from IX Webhost. And they said SSH is not enabled, and you cannot use your diskspace for storage (backup of files).

Why would I upgrade to paid then?

Space you can't use, features I don't use. And I'm not going to pay $4,95 per month to have a little bit better uptime..
