Hello,

If you cannot connect to MySQL server, there could be some causes:
- Incorrect MySQL hostname.
Never use 'localhost' as your MySQL hostname! You can find your MySQL hostname by logging on to members area, entering control panel and clicking on MySQL icon.

- Incorrect MySQL username / password or database name.
You can find / setup MySQL username and database by clicking on MySQL icon from control panel. And you can change MySQL password by clicking on phpMyAdmin icon.

- Database failed to setup.
In a very rare cases MySQL database can fail to setup. To confirm this, please try to enter phpMyAdmin for any database. If you see database there, that means it setup was successful. And if you get access denied error by trying to enter phpMyAdmin, please delete the database and setup the same MySQL database again.
Please note that always you must give about 1 minute for any changes to apply on server.

If you still unable to connect to MySQL you can try confirm if it is server or your script problem: if you can enter phpMyAdmin from members area that means everything is working fine on our side and it must be problem with your PHP script.

I personally dont understand why people would not like this webhost. I mean get a .netXX.net that's like awesome. Plus this supports stuff you dont see in most. When they do there is most likely always a catch. I've literally gone over 200 free webhosts and this is by far the best. Plus you can edit the html in the page. Not just add but you can edit it so if you make mistakes its fixable. Then also all the fantastic installs you can add. Email forwarders. Incredible bandwidth and file space. Also if you have a problem with the downtime that's your problem
it's not their fault. Im pretty sure if they could they would make them up 99.9% of the time. DDOS attack are not their fault. It's somone who dosn't like their hosting for some unknown reason.

I am really willing to give this host a chance to clear up its stand but I just can't wait to have the answers to my experience here. My blog posts appear in the site, but the links are broken. They are listed in the sidebar links though, but broken and returns: Error 404 - The Webpage cannot be found

I've been having trouble lately (Because of the Stupid DDOS Attack)... I tried moving to another webhost which is, I thought much better.. But their uptime wasn't very great.. Most of the time, I get downtimes.. And those downtimes doesn't just come ones a week, it comes everyday, at 4 hours a day or more... And the downtime starts at a random time...

Anyway, after the DDOS Attack, I came back to my original site which is the http://www.media6.site88.net, I parked it with a domain, which is http://www.media6.co.cc...

I am very satisfied with the service.. The DDOS attack is by far excusable..

Artemia, there are over 30000 clients having accounts on the same server where you are, it is strange for me, why no one complains expect you? To be serious - it is not possible to satisfy over 30000 users at once.

Anyway, I hope you will wind the perfect free web hosting one day and let our users know about it!

See, there's no such thing as a prefect free host... Now if only that the guys here would make their customer service better...

The Fact that there are DDOS attacks so frequently proves that 000webhost is better than any else so they want to bring it down

the only probs i had so far are with mysql connecting my SMF forum and i think one of my accounts got suspended cause when i was trying to access it and there were errors it automaticly sent emails to me that it didnt work

and the support could be better i understand that they have tons of ppl asking questions and opening tickets but still i think i have 1 ticket thats open like 2 months now with no anwser
