You can however use php forms. Just google around a little for a php mail form and you should be able to find a few hundred.

They require a SMTP server or something. I don't use it as 000webhost doesn't offer unlimited email accounts.

SMTP is just one way of sending mails, but normally you would use the PHP mail() function for things like contact forms.
