Cool 000Webhost Bandwidth Limit - 06-14-2012, 10:55 PM

Hello!

I'm the owner of Bypass-Censorship.org and I have a simple question about the bandwidth limit.

Is it 100GB per month, per year, or forever?

Thanks,

Pulpfiction

It's 100gb per month. You are honestly more likely to get suspended for over usage of the cpu rather than a bandwidth limit.

Ok, thank you for your response.

Will I need to worry about CPU usage?

My site is a wordpress site.

I use Cloudfare + CDN + Caching to minimize bandwidth.

Hello,

Some wordpress plugins can cause problems of excessive use of CPU.
Also remember that there is a limit of 2000 requests every 24 hours from the same IP.

Does anyone happen to know which plugins that I should be cautious about?

Also, if an IP brings over 2000 requests, will I get banned or will the IP just be blocked?

Thanks,

It's kind of hit and miss, but you will start seeing error messages if you hit the limit. The important thing is to pay attention to them and find the offending plugin before it get's you banned. Biggest offenders are always eCommerce and image management plugins for me. I have to keep a close eye on mine. Thankfully, I have a Google Analytics plugin in my Wordpress dashboard that "stops working" when I hit the limit...haha. That's how I know to start cutting back...

Your site will not get banned, but the IP will be blocked temporarily as a cautionary measure.

Here the site loads perfectly and fast. So I don't think that is is very CPU/RAM excessive.

OK Thanks.

Just in case, I'll have to back it up once or twice a day.

I already have $80 worth of advertising deals and I'm going to get some more in about 2 months.

Thanks for your reply.

I use Cloudflare and 2 different types of CDN. I also optimized my site to load faster. So I think it's probably fine.

But thanks for all the replies I got!
