On my joomla installation I want to use the component com_gameserver (from http://joomla.larshildebrandt.de/ ) The component is free of charge and checks if a gameserver is online and how many players are connected. The gameserver itself is NOT hosted at 000webhost. The component sends a query to the other server and then the other server replies with the serverdata. This only happens if a user visits the page, and won't check all-day long.

Is this allowed at 000webhost?

I doubt it, I can't see how the mod turns itself off when there's nobody viewing the page, it has to be monitoring constantly. Maybe I'm wrong though and somebody else knows more about this.

It won't work properly anyway as i suspect it to listen on a port which is closed on free accounts.

It only does a query to the port once loaded it seems, however, it queries ports that are blocked by 000webhost, thus the script won't work.
