Exclamation Newsletter script vs. mass mailing? - 08-18-2008, 07:36 PM

I have a doubt...

Does 000webhost support newsletter scripts? Well, the problem I see is that mass mailing is prohibited in ToS...

Of course, in my case, it wouldn't be SPAM... users would sign in, give their e-mail addresses and I would send periodically (once in a month) a message by e-mail to all users that have signed. I think there will be about 500 users, so I ask if I could do that here....

I believe that you should be OK, you are using your own email list. The limit is 20 emails per minute using the mail() php function.

It's NOT allowed to send mass emails, no matter what reason you have...

Sorry to bump an old topic, but would my account automatically be banned if I sent more than 20 emails per minute? I want to have a contact page where a user enters his message and sendmail() is used to send the message to my own email. The problem I see is that by sheer chance, 21 users happen to send a message at the same time.

The chances aren't very likely, but I want to make sure. Would my account be closed? Would I have a chance to get it back?
