I understand that some people might believe in minimalism, I myself is one of these. However when I have to trade off usability for design aesthetics, I often find that it's never good idea to cast away usability for something so meager. This is why I believe that you need to bring back the vBulletin navigation panel

i think the recent changes were due to some security issues.


If you used
Google
or
The forum search
Your problem could already be fixed.

still, why would the navigation panel be taken down if it's merely a client side accessory? All of the essential data that might have been contained in it would have been delegated to the response header in the first place for persistence so it's really moot to disable the client panel for security related reasons.

Here's an example, I can construct the query string for most of the custom features from the panel:

IE: New posts - http://www.000webhost.com/forum/search.php?do=getnew

And all that. Is it really a good idea to deprive the normal users? You have to take selective bias into account here. Those who have the incentive of using the features off of the nav panel will still be able to do it all, its only the normal users who suffers.

This was done to prepare vBulletin for upgrade.. Should be fine now.
