Default Making my website?....Help! - 09-16-2009, 09:46 PM

what i want to do is make a website where people ask my staff questions, we receive the questions and then we answer them...now what we want is a organized website such as::

http://youtube.jimmyr.com ( like a script that you ask and it puts it on the site)

And a simple website template such as:::

www.Google.com ( u know a logo...pages and a search engine... )( we want the search engine so our users can search for questions that have already been answer...such as wiki answers...)

Please feel free to recomend any php, javascript.....etc..

A little help would be greatly acepted....thanks

Cool I think i can help you - 09-17-2009, 10:22 AM

Funkywire,
I think i can help you, but i suggest you that if you don't wanna mess with php programing and cgis, you should try joomla(www.joomla.org) or wordpress(www.wordpress.org), them are free and easy to use, you can contact me if you have any problem there, but them are too easy to use i promise, and you can have your site in seconds.

Dacius

PD: Also you can try AEF(http://www.anelectron.com/), it is slightly better than PHPBB(www.phpbb.org), coz it is free and less complicated and even have functions like Vbulletin, but free, and have fun with ur site.

You can contact me if you want something, like advises or themes, have fun.

For a Q&A style of site, try Vanillia. It's a forum based software that lists things similar to Googles forum.
