Default Uploading ZIP files to the 'Another File Manager' - 07-10-2010, 10:35 AM

Hello I'm having troubles loging into the File Manager and so I am using the Another File Manager to upload my ZIP file to public_html folder and when I upload my ZIP file into the folder the ZIP file is not in the public_html folder.

Also whenever I attempt to log into the FTP File Manager it loads for around 5minutes and then puts me onto a error eccoured page.

Can someone please help me.

Hi Vigil,
How big is the ZIP file you're trying to upload to public_html?

Try to connect from FTP clients such as FileZilla, etc and see for the error, if it occurs again, use cleanup/reload account function (which will delete all files, drops all databases, and restore account setting to hosting default. (Yes, all files that have been uploaded, all websites created will all gone...)
Hope helps

Like willpt said use another FTP client like FileZilla. I use Filezilla and have had no problems. i have had this issue before and it was because I had not waited enough time for the DNS propagation to occur. If you are able to use an FTP client to access it then the DNS propagation has already occured.

There is a 5 Megabyte file limit on free hosting, I believe, and if you are using some form of php upload (Another File Manager is PHP I think) then the PHP upload limit is 2 Megabytes.

Unzip it and go into your filezilla then double click on the folder you should be able to enter, highlight everything and then click send and it will be on your site.

Also be sure to upgrade to the latest version of filezilla because, at least for me, the upload speed seems a lot faster

When I cant think of anything to say, I just mention my own site at www.59p.info

I check for filezilla updates every time I start it. I do every update as available, even nightly and beta builds too sometimes. I have not noticed a speed increase using the latest version.

What version do you have 59psite?
