000webhost is normally very reliable and quite fast. Never, in the history of the 10+ websites Ive made with them have I been disconnected or had a slow connection to my websites.

I will admit, their servers do come under attack from lots of traffic and even spam and hackers at times, but who doesn't have such issues?

You cannot doubt the reliability of 000webhost so blatantly. They are an excellent service, and they are reliable.

Regarding the uptime,I have no issues there for now.I have just registered my free hosting and it runs fine for more then one day without downtime acording to pingdom.com:

But,regarding the ftp connection,I can also confirm that if I leave my filezilla in standby(doing nothing for about 5min), server becomes unresponsive, and I have to reconnect again. It happens all the time the same way(if I leave it doing nothing for short period of time)

This is most likely due to the session time-out procedure.

With cuteftp pro you get this option, not sure with other clients.

Well,I will not change my ftp client just for this option.I wonder if this option is present in filezilla somewhere?

FTP connections on each server are limited to 500, so is it morally justified to have one connection reserved unnecessarily?
