If I go to the joomla backend and check help --> system infos, all directories are write protected except those which i Chmod to 777 (tmp and cache).

But I'm not sure if its unsecure. Probably during Joomal Installation I did not assign the database correctly or something like this. Therefore first I used FTP-Layer in Joomla to install extensions which works. Seems like my admin login in joomla has not full access to the database..

But as an example, I cannot list the joomla security newsfeed in backend, because the /administrator/cache directory is not writable.

Default fatal error - 08-12-2010, 10:06 AM

Hello,

i have just followed the video instrutions, but i get a fatal error.
When i am about to enter the backend to proceed installation my url appears to be broken and says:

Fatal error: Class 'JConfig' not found in /home/a2501876/public_html/includes/framework.php on line 49

what is the solution?

Hi there, please do a chmod to all directory and file to 777 and try to install it again. If problem still persists, please re-upload all of the files and chmodded them...
Hope helps

Smile Thanks a lot - 08-21-2010, 07:30 PM

Thank you very much knk, I have gone through the video tutorial and it was excellent. Especially I liked the way u renamed the installation directory instead of deleting it as a precautionary measure. A lot of my doubts are cleared watching the way you have done it. I have not tried it yet but I can't wait that long to say thank you V V much for your help.

Knk,

A subtle bump, but also just to say that have referred a few users having install issues on 000webhost over to your joomla tute site.

I think they're well laid out and easy to follow, so thanks.

Good stuff.

You can use the "Fix File Ownership" and/or "Fix File Permissions" feature from cpanel. It will fix all files in your account.
