Hi

I've read through the forums and links to help docs already.

I am having the following error installing Word Press 2.9.2: "Error establishing a database connection".

I uploaded wordpress; renamedwp- config-sample to wp-config; cmoded wp-config, wp-settings & setup-config to 777; then edited the wp-config file with the database details; then opened my website in google chrome but got the error.

What do I do now?

Have you created a database?
Make sure you put the correct data in wp-config.php . The user name and database name start by aXXXXX_ where XXXX is a number

make sure in your wordpress wp-config.php u have given MySQL hostname as the 000webhost's mysqal server and correct user name and pass

I have the message "Error establishing a database connection" in my site with wordpress. sometimes my site is down with this message but 30 minutes o more the site working fine, why?

Thats because the MySQL server is busy. You can upgrade and you wont get this.
