i have smf installed and i try to change my forum name but it wont let me does any one know how to fix this

If you are changing your forum name via the Admin Panel but the changes are not being saved then check the permissions on your settings.php file.

To change the file permissions on settings.php either use a ftp program such as filezilla, or login to your control panel and use the file manager.

Go to the file settings.php using ftp, right click, and chmod to 777 Then go to the admin panel, server settings, and go down to your forum name, change it and hit save at the bottom of the page.
