Haha - The link says this -http://publicrepublic.uphero.com/IMAGES/fotos/IMG_0048.JPG

So your photos are in a folder called fotos which is in a folder called IMAGES; are they?
If not, change the URLs' to where the photos are. Also I always use lowercase for everything, just in case.

...the reason why I dont see my fotos may be the same reason why the visits-counter does not work?

do I have to wrap up all IMAGES in a CSS stylesheet? if yes how?

seems that I dont understand something:
yes the pictures are in folder IMAGES (there are also VIDEO,FLASHetc.folders there) but this is in my file-structure on the computer.
in my host the photos are in one place (public) with the HTML

i was thinking that the order of folder on my laptop is for me, and the order of directories in my host is what matters to build a web page? isn it so? is everything connected?

It's not connected, the structure has to be in public_html, make a folder called images in public_html and put all photos in their, then the links will have to be changed to
(example) http:/publicrepublic.uphero.com/images/yourpicture.jpg

Default ahaaaa!!!! - 09-12-2011, 08:56 PM

ahaaaa!! ok!

while we are os subject editing HTML file I have another question:
(ha! so are the newbees- you give them a hand and they will bite you off your shoes!!!)

I explain: till now I just take the copy of the index.htnl and i make changes to it. when it is ready i save- than i go to 000webhost and i DELETE the index.html file and UPLOAD the changed index.html file

I ask: is this the normal way to do it or there is a bertter way of EDITING MY HTML FILES WITH DREAMWEVER ?

once again DANKE SCHOEN for your help!!!

You don't have to delete the old one, just overwrite it, but always remember to make back ups, personally and for most people an ftp client like filezilla client is easier than logging in and out of CPanel. You could also edit the index.html file without downloading/uploading, just edit it (or any file, folder) click save and see the changes quicker (for good or bad )

Edit: For pictures in index.html, link them like this
<img src=images/picture.jpg>

...by the way I did change the path so it looks like this:

</h1><br /><img src="http:/public_html/images/IMG_0048.JPG" width="364" height="273" alt="noaCloseUp" longdesc="http:/public_html/images/IMG_0048.JPG" />

in bold is what i ve changed.
on the other matter. I was sure it is better just to edit a file and not down/upload it. i just dont know how! In filedzila , when you click on the index file you have options to changfe name, down,up load... but not edit or open with Dw5
how to change the file WHICH IS ON THE SERVER and change it so thet when I click SAVE at the end it will be changed in the server. not in my machine.
are you writeing from USA?
