Default PHP Error Message - failed to open stream - 11-25-2011, 06:38 AM

Hy,
I installed a wordpress blog but when I activate my theme (mystique theme) I have an PHP error

Warning: fopen(/home/***/public_html/blog/wp-content/themes/mystique-extend/lang/.mo) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/***/public_html/blog/wp-includes/pomo/streams.php on line 109

I looked in the directory and those files do not exist, but here is the strange thing; I installed the same version of wordpress and mystique theme on Windows 7 with XAMPP and is working perfectly. No PHP error an I can use the Social-Media Icons on the theme.

Hello,

Well, maybe you have to access the quoted file "streams.php" and check the code in the line 109, apparently that line is requiring a file that doesn't exist in your server, probably you have such file in your local installation but not in this particular one.

I hope that helps.

Regards

If the files are not there then make sure to upload them. The theme relies on those files and if they aren't there where the theme expects them the above error message is the expected result.

Thanks for your reply; I searched for streams.php and commented the line 109 and the error disappeared, but I still can't use Social-Media-Icons of the theme; I will post on the theme forum for that. Even tought it's strange because on XAMPP I don't have this problems, I did not edited any file (they exist in the same location), I just installed WordPress and the mystique them, and just works.

Thanks for your help

The .mo file is language file....if your site is in English and if you don't want to translate it then it is ok if you commented the code......The social-media-icon seems to be a different problem...plz post the solution here if the theme owner contacts you about the solution for the problem...
