Hello,
I have a non paid user account. Using Joomla 1.5 & Vemod News Mailer component to notify subscribers about new articles on my blog. I have created an email account in cPanel - az@az.comuv.com. I am hosted on server server26.000webhost.com.

The problem is that a Joomla component i am using - Vemod News Mailer doesn't get any of email messages delivered to subscribers, even though logs are saying everything was sent successfully. I am using currently the PHP Mail Function. Or, sometimes out 5 messages sent, only one or two get delivered.

Sendmail path doesn't get found by any script, the SMTP feature (local or remote) is closed to free accounts, so only PHP Mail Function could be used.

if your webmail work then it is not sending server issue but rather the receiving end issue.
and if it works 1 out of 5 it is not the sending issue but rather the receiving end issue.

I heard Joomla has problems on 000webhost free accounts.

O yeah, softly speaking "it does", from my experience i understood 000webhost is using some smart & hidden methods to encourage you to upgrade to paid hosting.

Still looking for a solution, digging, installing / uninstalling stuff, reading information on forums, learning about cron tasks and 000webhost's tricky limitations for free accounts

Have you tried other script like (phpbb) to send email through it? Also recheck your email settings in joomla (have had this case, when files are changed without notice). Also if you just created the email box and tried to send an email with it it won't work.

I have found the solution to my issue, as it was Joomla, Vemod News Mailer component specific. It took me couple days, yet it was in front of me all the time, it just took me installing and uninstalling other components to find that out.

To much to type, if anyone need info let me know and i'll share it here.

Hello Azmandius, can you tell me how you got the solution?

I have the aiContactSafe component and it dosen´t send emails, actually sent to 3 months ago when I installed it, and now I realize that it's not sending anymore. I tried 4 other components but gave no result. The 000webhost says "PHP mail() works completely fine".

Hi espacoplural,
My account was recently suspended by 000webhost for a banal reason of:

Account sent more than 1000 email messages and only gets 0 visitors per day

which is simply a stupid lie.

As soon as i'll have it unsuspended (i'll have to pay bucks to "upgrade" it, so 000webhost will let me access my website) i'll go to control panel to give you the needed information.
