Default softaculous is under construction at the moment - 05-20-2012, 05:32 PM

I tried to install wordpress through softaculous and it said that it was under construction at the moment and can not say when will be ready.
Now i want to install wordpress manually. I want to upload a ZIP file.
my question is that if i upload ZIP file, will it be possible to unzip it there. or should i first unzip it on local pc and then upload it? but it will take long time...

You will have to extract the archive on your PC first, then upload the files/folders using a FTP client. With a reasonably good FTP client and a good internet connection WordPress will be uploaded within 5 minutes.

Hello,

And notes that you must upload the files inside the wordpress folder on your PC, within the public_html folder.

This way when entering your site is displayed directly your blog.

He could use Filezilla for easy uploading. I personally recommend it to everyone.

Hello,

You can select all files you want to upload(with Filezilla), right mouse button and the menu that appears choose "upload all" or something similar

Filezilla is a fast uploader. I do prefer uploading files and installing the script myself rather than Softaculous stuff.
