I found an old abandoned project named EvilBoard. I think the project was up in 2006. I downloaded it and looked trough the files. I'm not much of a guy for php but it looked fun. I'm more experienced with HTML and CSS. This is a bit new to me so this could be a bit interesting. Anyways, it has the basic functions and needs a lot of work.

Honestly, you are probably better off downloading an old mybb source or something ( http://wiki.mybb.com/index.php/Versions )
I just checked some of the EvilBoard_0.1a source code, and it... well... you'll have trouble if you are going to give it out, because according to the source code, it's a pain in the ass to make plugins and themes for that board.

You may even rather want to make your own board from scratch, just sayin'
