Wordpress Update fails.

"An automated WordPress update has failed to complete - please attempt the update again now."

It hangs here:
http://www.example.com/wp-admin/update-core.php?action=do-core-reinstall

I think it might have to so with how much it needs to execute the update script.... Seems there is a time out after 10 seconds.

What can I do to make the update stick?

You'll have to manually update wordpress.
