I have my domain hosted at 000webhost free hosting. (ie. I have changed the name servers so that it's completely on my own domain).

I have been having trouble setting up my Google Apps email with phpBB3. With some google searching I have found that versions 3+ are incompatible with Gmail.

Because it doesn't use any of your *.Comxa.com or *.netai.com or whatever free server domains, would it be ok for the forums to send emails through the actual website (ie. no SMTP) but to use localhost?

Ask if I don't make sense - it's sort of hard to explain!

yes, but say the board sent out a lot of emails (due to many sign ups) does the limit on how many emails you can send still apply if my actual domain name is hosted on 000webhost (ie. not frame directed or redirected)
