SMTP via GMAIL for contact page in Wordpress

Hi all,
Yesterday I managed after a huge help from Bad Karma...(thanks mate)..to get my new Wordpress installed on my 000Webhost free package.

All is going good until I try to create a contact page using GMAIL as my email address.

I read a brief post somewhere that you cant use SMTP via 000Webhosts free hosting.

Is this true?

If so what are my options and if not....how to I set it all up?

SMTP is not available with free accounts. You can though sign up for Google Apps and point mail by MX records.

I've done that but can't send out email. I'm trying to make Prestashop work via google app SMTP but it won't send.

What MX record have you entered and do you get an error message?

To that of google apps: ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM.
No error messages, it simply won't send.

If by receive u mean, receiving mail on my browser logged into the google interface, then yes.

Thats weird... Have you tried sending the numerous emails and checked their spam folders?
