Unhappy Template issue ! - 12-09-2011, 08:00 AM

Hello everyboy !

Well, I have just begun with my new site. I have started with a black template named 'Black Box'. So all was good and I have started to edit my site (pages, menu, etc).
Unfortunatly, I have tried a menu I have not tried yet before, named 'new builder' somethoing like that. And I arrived in an interface wich offert to me to choose other 'new' templates'.
But in my mind it was confused, I thought it was a new web site, then I have choosen a template (green, etc),

but I have the surprise to constat that in fact it is my web site (the first and unique) wich is in question, then the template has changed !

How can I go back to the first template please ? is it possible ? I have search but I don' t understand how and where I can do this.

About the backup I had not yet the time to do one so no backup available !
After lots of manual search, I have (re) found the first template (named 'black box),

but the only thing it offert to me is to download a zip file with this template ! why not but the first tme (the second too), I have not download or upload anything to install the tempmlate !

Can' t do it again ? Have I to download then upload the template ? if really yes, can you please tell me what, how and where do I upload the zip file ?

Anyway thank you by advance !

iskander

( I think even the namer of the site has changed since the template has changed ! And all what I have added to the first template, I mean pages, menu, articles, gallerie have dispeared !)

EDIT : I wanted to say that in the editor, it appears Blackbox theme, but when I go to the site, it is the other template !

I've had a quick look at the new website builder and it does give a rather ambiguous statement (see attachment) regarding 'change template' as opposed to 'reset template'
After swapping to a new template all saved work is not transferring over but the impression given is that it should, I would treat this as a bug and use the report bug feature that's in the header of website builder.
I would also provide as much information as possible including links to screenshots if possible. I didn't see a guide anywhere as it all seems very straightforward but it really does give the impression that saved work will transfer to the new template and it does not.

hi Shock,

thank you for your reply. Yes, it is a little confuse, in my control panel I have my news, pages, and the first theme too (blackbox), but on the website it self, they are not !

I think I am going to build one new other site, like I wanted first (with blackbox), I will try to copy/paste my 'data' from one site to other, I think maybe it is the solution more 'speed'.

So, if anyone is 'attracted' to change his template, then be careful with 'new builder', cause it can 'erase' your data or confuse with the previous theme.

Thank you again Shock, if all succed I will come back tell you here then I will close this topic.

Default finally... - 12-10-2011, 12:50 AM

finally I have found a solution. First I have create new one,
but after that I realise that I could 'clean up' and or 'reload' the site to what it was at first.
I tried and yes, it started at the begining, but without what I add (text, pages,etc)...

so thank you, I think my problem is resolve.
