Hello,

I created an account on December to host my 3D portfolio website. The site itself was not yet ready, but as I just finished studying in 3D animation and was looking for work, I still created the account so I can give a permanent URL to put on my resume, so potential companies can access to my portfolio. I made a temporary page on which I put a Vimeo player showcasing my demo reel, and a "Under construction" text, with a link to a temporary portfolio I made on Blogger.

I originally thought it would take about a month to finish the actual website, but it is still not yet ready today, I didn't get much free time to work on it. (It's a full PHP-powered site, in which I can add informations on the works I have done and add images via an administration panel)

Today, I received an e-mail stating that my account will be deleted due to inactivity, and that I need to "protect" my account if I want to keep it. So I went to the member area and went to the protect page, however, one line retained my attention:

To save server resources and provide everyone with free web hosting we regularly remove inactive accounts. Account considered inactive if no website is uploaded or it did not received more than 10 visitors in 30 days. Website also should not contain words like "under construction" or similar.

Well, my website is actually a "under construction" page at the moment, even if it still has something to show (my Demo reel), so I guess I can't keep my account, since it is a "under construction" page?

There you go. I'm pretty sure that, if you protect your account, it won't be deleted. The only reason that they delete accounts is that people make accounts then never use them, consuming server space. If you protect your account and add a few lines of HTML that proclaims that you are using your site, you should be fine.
