Lightbulb How to keep a redirect to www when domain entered naked - 07-15-2012, 03:49 PM

While i was changing dns, and making it point towards 000webhost server, i noticed that the domain was not actually loaded when it is entered with www prefix.

I have setuped using ns record.

Any help using the www with ns record.

www. will start to work eventually, it sometimes takes a little longer for the www. to start working. Can you tell us the name of your domain?

I've never had to add www to the 2 URL's in the backend of wordpress, it automatically puts the correct URL's. Have you now altered .httaccess so you get redirected to www.yoursite...?
If I was you I'd click "cleanup/Reload account" in cpanel, upload and install wordpress (don't change the URL's) and see what you get.

No, not edited the WordPress and 'Yes' i know WordPress edits the .htaccess which i have brought to it's default version.
But what i am telling is that when i access www site it shows some link to 00webhost and even doesn't redirect to instead shows a 404 maybe try this http://nsmtechie.com/wp-admin

and this http://www.nsmtechie.com/wp-admin

I mean there are two different versions of my site.

Any help ?

What I'm sayiing is I can't get here - http://nsmtechie.com
it always redirects me to here - http://www.nsmtechie.com so the site will never work with whatever has been changed to make this occurr.
Really a clean install of wordpress, changing nothing, and you'll have no problems - probably quicker than trying to sort this out too.

EDIT: removed unneeded sentence (wrong topic)

Hello,

I think the problem comes from a wrong configuration 000webhost nameservers.
What nameservers (or record type A) has written to the configuration where you have bought the domain?

Code:
Domain Name: NSMTECHIE.COM
   Registrar: BIGROCK SOLUTIONS PRIVATE LIMITED
   Whois Server: Whois.bigrock.com
   Referral URL: http://www.bigrock.com
   Name Server: DNS1.BIGROCK.IN
   Name Server: DNS2.BIGROCK.IN
   Name Server: DNS3.BIGROCK.IN
   Name Server: DNS4.BIGROCK.IN
   Status: clientTransferProhibited
   Updated Date: 02-may-2012
   Creation Date: 18-mar-2012
   Expiration Date: 18-mar-2013
