FTP - The Basics
Why Transfer Files Using FTP?
You may have asked, how do I FTP to my website? Isn't the Online File Manager good enough? What will I gain from using FTP?
Of course, if you feel fine with the web manager, you can go ahead. Transferring files using FTP is great, and much more convenient than a web manager.
Great! How do I get started?
First, we need to get a FTP Client. I would recommend FileZilla, avaliable
here.
Okay, I downloaded the FTP Client! What do I do?
You install it.
After installing, run FileZilla.
You will want to login at
http://members.000webhost.com to find out your FTP information. Click "View FTP Details".
You will see
(Personal Info blacked out)
Please take note of the FTP Host name, FTP Username, and FTP password.
Back to FileZilla, click the Green/Blue icon.
Remember that 000webhost page containing your FTP information? Put it in there.
Click New Site, and fill in your info.
When you're done, click Connect!

Make sure you don't upload your files here, and instead upload your files in the /public_html folder.
To transfer files, just drag them over to the server.
