Default how to chmod via filemanager - 01-29-2009, 11:56 AM

You can use filemanager in your cpanel at 000webhost for lot of things one of which is "chmod"

Steps:
. click on the folder you want to do chmod
. click on "chmod"
. then you will see something like this

Chmod directories and files
Back (accesskey b) Submit (accesskey v)

Owner: Read Write Execute
Group: Read Write Execute
Everyone: Read Write Execute
To set all permissions to the same values, enter those permissions above and click on the button "Set all permissions"

Set the permissions of directory "your folder" to:

Owner: Read Write Execute
Group: Read Write Execute
Everyone: Read Write Execute
Chmod value:
Chmod also the subdirectories within this directory
Chmod also the files within this directory

Make sure to do "set all permission to the same values" and check "subdirectories" and "files" while you at it.

This will do the chmod on all files and folder recursively on the folder that you pick.
