heh not sure it carries much status at my University, we let the Computer Arts students off with Mac's, if any programmers/web developers etcetera use one they've certainly not made it public knowledge. :P

First off, you can not legally install OS X on any other computer besides a Mac. You can install Windows on a Mac legally.

Alright, Macs are expensive. We all know that, and of course some of the money goes to marketing and branding and whatnot. But they use only high quality hardware. You wonder why Macs generally outlast PC's... it's the high quality inner stuff.

I generally think that people who hate Mac OS X don't like it because they don't know how to use it or they are unfamiliar with it.

Nope. i hate iMacs because the screen is to big and the mouse taking hours to acros the whole screen.

I dont now. I dont have a mac. But i has tested a mac by a shop, but i dont like mac's.
