Delay in PHP script update - 06-04-2009, 11:23 AM

I notice that there is sometimes a delay when I try to run a PHP script that I have modified and uploaded. Has anyone else noticed this and how can I make the update immediate

i believe some of the mysql servers still restart hourly, that might be the issue, i don't know.
