Default Site improvements - 01-06-2012, 09:58 PM

Hello everyone, hope you all had a good holiday no matter what you celebrate.

I am in the process of making improvements and would love some feedback on what you think.

There are 2 ways to see wallpapers now. An image link button and by clicking on the viewer an enlarged image will appear.

I have also replaced some basic wallpapers with improved renderings.

Thanks

Hi Visual

I saw your website has good design and pictures are nice to me

I congratulate you, but I'll give my comment, the site takes too long to load on multiple browsers and mobile devices, I think it needs improvement to make it more user friendly

Greetings and have a good day

I hope to write your comments

Thank you

I know about the slow loading. It has to do with the css image viewer. It grabs each image as an html page.

With more and more people not being able to view flash, I just decided to try this way until I can get another method. It seems better than having somebody on an ipad not being able to see anything. I wish apple would just put flash in their products.

Anyone who stops in for the free wallpapers, please remember they're free. You guys and laddies on the FB and G plus can help me out if you know what I mean.

Cheers

your site looks good..but clicking on an image could open up in a popup rather than in the same tab..you can try jquery modal window which makes pics easier to view in a stylish popup window.
and you can use a better html5 slider which doesnot require flash hope i am to the point..good luck

Do you know of such a slider?

Can you recommend one. Is it free code?

Believe it or not, i'm using a jquery css3 unit that's very similar. I think it has something to do with the size and amount of images. Those demo pages use 3 or 4 only and they load quickly. I'll bet that if they used 20 or 30 it would slow down.

I'm working on a couple other solutions. Thanks for the assist.

It can be done easily by making a page for each image and using minimal code to redirect to the next page. I have the code and it's so simple. The drawback is making a page for each image. You also get an active x warning. This would probably scare some away when they see it because it appears like something wrong is going on.

Spent hours and hours making adjustments.

Everything is super fast loading now. I need to make changes to the last page and then i'll return next week to share what I did in the code sharing area.

Site is not good at all. If I am looking for wallpaper I want to be able to look at a grid of all your wallpaper. Not sit and see a slideshow of your available backgrounds. If I was a customer I would never come back. Takes too long.
