I went to my site today and there was a pop-up ad on it.

I didn’t put it there. 000webhost did. It’s an ad for Hostinger.

You can see the ad here…

000webhost is supposed to be a no ad service. Did that policy change?

(And please don’t give me any replies about how there’s a pop-up ad because the site hasn’t been accessed. I log in to the control panel for this site multiple times every week.)

What’s going on??? I don’t want any pop-up ads on my site.

If you log in to CPanel multiple times per week, I don’t see why the ads would be there, but try the “Remove Inactivity Ads” button in CPanel.

I tried it. But on my sub domains the pop up is still showing. How long after clicking the inactively Link does it take effect?

Please see this post.

From today 3/19/2014, 000webhost will show 1 popup per website one time in 7 days. This has been added to our TOS. However users can disable it by disabling stats code.

OK. Though 1 popup per website one time in 7 days — the odds were about 500 to 1 that I’d be the one to see it if it’s really only happening that infrequently.

However users can disable it by disabling stats code.

How do you disable the stats code?

I need this info also

He must mean tha analytics code - http://members.000webhost.com/analytics.php

Hello, just checked my website, and it seems to be shrouded and veiled up by grey-out blank popups that have made my website non functional, where you can’t access the side menu of my different art galleries

I have logged in the C Panel , to see if this would clear it out and it does not, so what is the problem and why is it doing this.

website is http://www.zanaelf.comaxa.com

There’s this - http://www.000webhost.com/forum/announcements/36173-starting-today-1-popup-per-website-one-time-7-days.html
I presume he means the analytics code - http://members.000webhost.com/analytics.php

You can add this to your .htaccess file aswell

php_value auto_prepend_file none
php_value auto_append_file none

My thought exactly. ANd I’ve seen it twice in the last ten days. I’ve now disabled the analytics code, so we’ll see what happens!

Hello guys, i’m having a problem with the “hosting24 analytics code” script, that is putted in my pages, after the </html> tag.

When I enter on my site the first time, shows a big Ad of Hostinger.

So I removed the “hosting24 analytics code” of the final of my codes, and the Ads not appear.

What I want to knwo is: can I get any problem removing this code? I mean, is this forbidden by the 000webhost? Can my account be cancelled? And the inactivity status?

Sorry for my English, i’m brazilian.

Thanks.

No problem in removing the code.
But now to keep your account active, log onto your hosting control panel at least once every week.

Hey guys, it may sound stupid, but… if I pay a premium account, will my website be ads free?
Thank you.

Bump! Please help!

paid hosting on hosting24 no ads
free hosting on 000webhost and will still show ads

thank you this worked!

What would happen If I remove the code and don’t long onto my account once every week? would my site still work?
