I’m realizing this solution works as long as I don’t use FontAwesome. When I add the stylesheet it messes things up. I add the same I have in the English version, which works fine…
I’ve tried all versions already… clearing data, I don’t know what’s wrong… I’m pretty sure I’m not doing anything differently, from a couple days ago, when it looked fine… Now, every time I open and close the file, a new weird A appears…
After changing the php version to 5.5, What I did was:
created a folder called convert under public html.
uploaded the files previously downloaded and unzipped, and then uploaded my problematic files.
viewed the GUI.html
entered the character set I wanted ( I completed the process two times. The first one, I used UTF-8, the second time I tried ISO-8895-1)
entered .html (I have four files, but only entered one .html)
entered yes.
it created a folder named ‘new content’ under the convert folder I previously created, with all the files in php. But they show the same wrong characters… than the html
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks for looking into this and coming up with a solution, by the way. Now I just have to get this procedure right…
