New Site --Thanks 000Web!

My new site is up and I want to totally thank 000Web for providing the hosting for it! In response, I’ve put that sharp looking animated button right on the site as a link back to them!

Thanks again!

nice
your page must be sent to all smokers,
good luck

There is only one thing on the site that could remotely be seen as invasive and it is the stat counter. It tracks the publicly available data that people transmit when they browse the internet. I would think that you probably have your security settings up way high to get that message.

The site that runs it is: http://statcounter.com

Everything else is just simple links. Here is the source to prove it:

Thanks, yes this type of product has been a blessing to many people.

Actually Firefox and Google both blocked it, outside of Norton.

And would you blame me for having my norton security settings on aggressive? :stuck_out_tongue:

I´d blame you for just using Norton which was a reasonably good prodcut a few years back but somehow became bloatware. And about reliability of sites like Norton Safeweb or McAfee Site Advisor…they´re useless.

I hope you set your Norton to also block yahoo.com and google.com?

Actually, I would commend you for posting your report. The reason you got it has nothing to do with my site however. Upon reading the report I discovered that Norton is actually reporting phishing scams going on with other sites in the same sub-domain system.

My site has nothing to do with the sites referenced by Norton but I would forward your report to the 000web Admins so they can look into it.

PS I also thing Norton is bloatware and don’t use it for that reason. I run AVG all the way!

Excellent choice, that´s what i run. The free version though

Oh yes. I have not upgraded but I would expect excellent value from them should I do so.

The free version is good enough for me. Using that, some addons for my browser and common sense i have no need for some website rating service that warns me of malware sites

Really. What sort of add-ons do you recommend because my system regularly encounters various malware head on and I have relied on AVG + my firewall to keep me safe…

The probably most important addon to have is NoScript -> http://noscript.net/

Ah yes, I’ve heard that mentioned before. I will go there but I have a concern. I work online and require various complex software to be able to run its course without interference – can I give this NoScript exemptions? And is it user friendly for those sites that I wish to have run scripts?

EDIT: nvm I clicked it lol

yes, you can activate it for certain sites, it´s highly configurable

I’m sorry, I’m about to blow your mind but (are you sitting down?) I don’t run firefox but I did find this:
