Slow Website Performance? Read this!

We can see many of your websites have really been slow for some reasons. Our admins and developers are aware of this issue. But, It might take some time to fix because this is the weekend :wink:

I havenā€™t been able to modify or upload anything for over a month now.

I can access the website and display the html files, using
https://loganjs.000webhostapp.com/7_Other/!_Other.htm, or any other valid html file.

File Manager says: Log in details are not correct.

Website List: I can login, loganjs is running.

Manage Website: gives me statistics about loganjs.000webhostapp.com.

loganjs.000webhostapp.com: Lists all of my folders, but says:
"You see this page because your website doesnā€™t have ā€œindex.phpā€ or ā€œindex.htmlā€ file in public_html folder."
I can open any folder and display any html or image, but I canā€™t upload or change anything.

Create index file: doesnā€™t seem to do anything.

I tried changing my password because I couldnā€™t login to File Manager, using
https://www.000webhost.com/members/website/loganjs/settings#ftp,
Iā€™m not using ftp, and ftp transfer is off. It returns to off if I set it on.
I have only used 2 passwords and saved them in Firefox.
Neither password will work for File Manager if I manually enter them.

Iā€™m about to Reset or Delete the site, but I would prefer to not do that.
What other options do I have?

I donā€™t have a big problem with it being slow for now.
I appreciate the free site and Iā€™m sure the problem will be fixed.

Are you still facing issues, Iā€™ve not changed anything just logged in and it works fine?

Yes. I still canā€™t login to File Manager

It still says ā€œLog in details are not correctā€.
I manually tried both passwords several times.

Everything is the same as in my first post,
except I see FTP Transfer is now ON.

I tried Filezilla with these results:

Status: Resolving address of files.000webhost.com
Status: Connecting to 145.14.144.13:21ā€¦
Status: Connection established, waiting for welcome messageā€¦
Response: 220 ProFTPD Server (000webhost.com) [::ffff:145.14.144.13]
Command: USER loganjs
Response: 331 User loganjs OK. Password required
Command: PASS ********
Response: 530 Login authentication failed
Error: Critical error
Error: Could not connect to server

I interpret that to mean my password is incorrect, but it works here.
I tried my original password manually,
and the one I changed to using settings.

Neither password works for File Manager,
but the original password works everywhere else.

Iā€™m not sure the ā€œCritical errorā€ was due to the password.
At least not due to the password I entered (just a thought).

Head to General Settings on 000webhost.com and Change FTP Password choose a simple password like 123456 for a test then try it?
