can you go over the logging details again? I think something was missing from "for windows something like"
I set it to a local folder on my E: drive, but don’t know how to grant php read-write access to a local folder. I can change access permissions to the server folder using filezilla…?

also - tried with no / and double checked that confog file was uploaded. still no luck

Right click any files in FileZilla and CHMOD to bring up permissions

Could you open NotePad paste in the code

ok. i uploaded check.php to root of public_html ( http://pollardlab.web44.net/) and set permissions to 755
Do i need to direct /config/log4php.config.xml to this check.php file?

hi again,

I’m trying to test the set up you left me with yesterday but I’m stuck with finding the host for the database.
The old config.php had:

$conf['settings']['database']['hostspec'] = 'mysql1.000webhost.com';
can you let me know what to change this to?
$conf['settings']['database']['hostspec'] = 'localhost'; ???

sorry for being such a noob. I have no idea what i’m doing, really…

You needn’t, James. Its very kind of you but I managed to migrate the site and database to another host. I couldn’t have done that without all your help.
