But how about users here. can you also please point out the templates that you have been using and confirmed that is working well for you? 
I’m not sure if you’re looking for free themes only but go checkout Themeforest. They have A LOT of premium wordpress themes that are well worth the money.
Currently ThemeForest has the most number of wordpress themes .You can check it out.

read the documentation on wp site, get a ftp client use the ftp login information from your CP. there is plenty of tutorials online. use google.but you make a DB in crontrol panel MySQL and ftp your files to the public folder (or whereever you want the wp site to reside)
If you won’t create wordpress theme then you should go themeforest website in which includes best themes and biggest projects.
