You have to find your niche. For starters, I went to your site and I have no idea what the site is about. Secondly, forums that have not already been well established before facebook, will not do too well if they don't have a good thing going (what ever that means.)lol Forums have taken a huge hit thanks to facebook. I am not trying to discourage you but I have a forum and I have it closed as in NO REGISTRATION allowed. I will however maybe put up DISQUS in the future or a facebook log in app so people do not have to register to post.
Trust me, if anyone has that secret formula, I am sure they will not be sharing it here with you. Sorry, just being real.
In closing, people are more into themselves and promoting themselves on facebook than they are interested in joining a site and forum. I am not saying that people don't join forums any more but many people will not or don't see a need because they now have their own little world in facebook and here they control their own little world rather than having an admin or a mod telling them what they can and can not do on their forum.
