you didn't start from scratch, you just removed some of it.
you've got like half a dozen counter codes in there, mostly pasted wrong, and conflicting with each other.
turn OFF the 000webhost analytics code, remove ALL the extra code, then check that there is NO code down there.

THEN you can either re-enable the 000webhost analytics, or add your own, but don't do both.

Ok. I will. I didn't realise I couldn't just delete them, I'll try what you said and then come back and let you know how it went.

well, i see a ton of empty space still at the bottom, this tells me something isn't quite right yet.
just go to view source and you'll see 2 instances of "<!-- START OF HIT COUNTER CODE -->"
3 or 4 of"<!-- www.000webhost.com Analytics Code -->"

and a ton of line breaks (<br /><br />) and spaces(&nbsp;&nbsp; ) causing the empty space.
(maybe you want these)

i think i see 2 google analytics codes there aswell.

The space is there as I don't want everyone to see the counter.
Where's 'view source' ?

right up top of Internet Explorer
click View for the dropdown, then click Source
alternatively, you can rightclick on the page> View Source

other browsers will be similar.

hope you don't mind, i'm just going to post your link again:
http://www.astrology.netau.net/
so i don't have to keep going back to page one, lol

now once you've seen it, you'll have to go to your html editor and remove anything redundant.
suggestion:
remove everything having to do with www.000webhost.com Analytics Code it isn't needed because it will still be there without you doing it, as it's enabled in your control panel.
I'm not sure about the hit counter, but probably the same.
I'm also not sure about the google one, but mess around, (keeping a backup) and you'll get it cleaned up.
most counters use images, and you can do width=0, height=0 to hide them, but i don't think so in this case, plus it may be against terms of some.

Default As a side note, once you get your page running... - 07-22-2009, 01:16 PM

I have been using sitemeter.com counters since 2004 (I think) and histats.com since 2007, they are both free and work great. They complement each other, since certain features are disabled as they are free services. But if you use both you get everything you need
