Default Hit counter.. - 05-28-2009, 12:58 PM

Hi!
I am new, and I am trying to tick a counter on my website. I copied and pasted the 000webhost counter, but I couldn't get the actual counter on my webpage, just the html code that i copied and pasted, with a link to the website stats. I thought to find another counter, so i searched for a free one, copied and pasted it onto the website, saved the changes, previewd it and it doesn't show at all. Could somebody pls explain to me how to get a hitcounter to work?
Thank you!

What is your website address?

Code:
<html><script src="http://scripts.widgethost.com/pax/counter.js?counter=ctr-8ydngdhx62"></script>
<noscript><a href="http://www.pax.com/free-counters.html"><img src="http://counter.pax.com/counter/image?counter=ctr-8ydngdhx62&noscript=1" alt="Free Hit Counter" border="0" /></a></noscript></html>
Inserted where you want this should make a hit-counter appear.

HTML Code:
</body>
< /html>                   //REMOVE THIS
<!-- www.000webhost.com Analytics Code -->
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://analytics.hosting24.com/count.php"></script>
<noscript><a href="http://www.hosting24.com/"><img src="http://analytics.hosting24.com/count.php" alt="web hosting" /></a></noscript>
<!-- End Of Code -->
your counter is outside of your <html> tag, remove the </html> tag and put it after u copy the counter code.

like this:

HTML Code:
</body>

<!-- www.000webhost.com Analytics Code -->
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://analytics.hosting24.com/count.php"></script>
<noscript><a href="http://www.hosting24.com/"><img src="http://analytics.hosting24.com/count.php" alt="web hosting" /></a></noscript>
<!-- End Of Code -->
</html>          //PUT IT HERE

Hi Vazzer, hi Barefeet.
I've tried...and it doesn't work
I did what you both suggested...copied barefeet's code and it didnt work..then I tried copying the code and removing the </html> tag and put it at the end and I get the same thing. Just text. Thanks for being patient
What shall I try now
Thanks!

Hm, theres an error in ur code, i just copied and pasted it:

HTML Code:
&lt;table align="center"&gt;&lt;tr&gt;&lt;td&gt;<br />&lt;div style="margin-bottom:1px"&gt;&lt;img src="<a href="http://hitfreecounter.com/counter/counter.php?Id=12041">http://hitfreecounter.com/counter/counter.php?Id=12041</a>" alt="Load Counter"/&gt;&lt;/div&gt;<br />&lt;div style="background:#FFFFFF;text-align:center;padding-bottom:2px"&gt;&lt;a href="<a href="http://www.spaandequipment.com">http://www.spaandequipment.com</a>" target="_blank" style="color:#000000;font:10px Verdana;text-decoration:none"&gt;spa supply&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;<br />&lt;/td&gt;&lt;/tr&gt;&lt;/table&gt;&lt;/html&gt;<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />
theres a bunch of &lt; and &gt; which should be <'s and >'s...

I think there's a whole lot of things that need fixing, the code looks terrible :s.
