I tried to rename the file to index.html but I got this error:
Warning: ftp_rename() [function.ftp-rename]: Rename/move failure: Read-only file system in /home/manager/public_html/includes/filesystem.inc.php on line 403

and the file would not rename.

Then I thought I could just make a new file that was names index.html and start over but when I tried to upload it I got this error:
Warning: ftp_put() [function.ftp-put]: Rename/move failure: No such file or directory in /home/manager/public_html/includes/filesystem.inc.php on line 2565

and it would not upload the file.

Any ideas?

The filesystem of the server has been set to "read-only". This normally indicates some problem with the filesystem of the server and therefore you cannot change any permissions as changes cannot be saved to the harddisk of the server. Please open a support ticket with all the necessary information (especially the server you are on) and mention that error message.

Thank you. I put in a ticket, and the problem was fixed. I was able to rename the file. The site works fine now!
