Default Dreamweaver--2 Qs - 01-30-2012, 03:43 PM

I was working on my site the other day when for no reason I can see, I stopped being able to save files as .html. Instead, I have to save them as templates, move the templates to the folder where the page belongs, and then change the extension. It's ridiculous. What happened?

The other q: None of the page links work when I post a new page. What? Why....?

Thanks for any help you can give me!

What version are you using? Have you tried creating a new site in Dreamweaver and copying the files to the new directory?

1) Here's the page where I noticed that the links had stopped working: http://fieldguidetoquilts.com/7Sq/7Sq/7Square.html
I noticed after I put them on the server. I had to save the page as a .dwt and then change the extension to .html. However, the property manager shows that the link addresses are correct.
2) Here's a page that I'm thinking of using as a new template--except that with this glitch I'd have to rebuild all the pages--100 of them--it would be way too much work.

It may be due to that u select the option in dreamweaver to create a new template,

or it may be the case that when u press ctrl+s to save a file the default type from the drop down menu may be selected as dreamweaver template otherwise there is nothing that may cause this issue, it has no relation with the file u was working on.
