Hi again

I'm looking into Yahoo.
The code is quite simple and may be better than getting thrown off this site.
Thanks for the warnings.
I appreciate it.
Regards,
Al

Ya, It really is a simple way to go for MP3 stuff. Just remember that even if you are using Yahoo's player, the files are still hosted on 000webhost. I personally don't see an issue with a few 15 sec sound clips as bandwidth wouldn't be an issue, but I'm not an admin either so I can't give you definitive answer.

I host a little of my own music on my site with a flash player, but I also hold the copyright.

Happy building, and remember "The devil is always in the details"

I suggest that you just host it on Youtube (make sure it's private), and make it autoplay in the background.

I just got this site today and ran into a problem trying to write some code that would allow a visitor to listen to a 15 or 20 second sample of a MP3 file.
I did find a way to allow them to download it but it would be better just to click and listen.
Any suggestions?
(I'm not really a HTML person so the code would be most helpful).

If you or your IDE is using HTML5 you don't need scripts or anything like that anymore because since HTML5, browsers will display a media player with controls. It goes something like...
Quote:
<audio controls="controls">
<source src="song.ogg" type="audio/ogg" />
<source src="song.mp3" type="audio/mpeg" />
</audio>
