Default Help with Wordpress Themes - 06-15-2012, 04:11 PM

I installed wordpress successfully but If I try to select a theme other than the default, the blog looks all screwed up.
No photos are showing, no text, it's like it can't get to the style sheet. Any ideas are appreciated.

A link to your site would help, what version of wordpress did you install? What is the theme called and is it compatible with your version of wordpress?

Wordpress version 3.4, the theme is compatible and is called Visual Sense Light. I've also tried other themes they all look the same. The only ones that work are the Twenty Eleven and Twenty Ten.

Could you put some text on and upload an image or two, there's not much to go on as it looks fine in it's default state.

I guess I'm confused about how themes work. It should look like this: http://startupcms.com/themes/visual-...rdpress-theme/

after I install it, right?
Or do I just get the frame work and have to add everything else myself?

The theme is only a framework that if configured properly and with content added will display like the demo. At the moment you have not added any content, menus, sliders, or configured all the available options/plugins, so it's pretty bare.

If all else fails Read the Instructions
